DRIVING IN DENMARK
Ferries Ferries can fill up at peak periods, so it pays to book them in advance. A timetable is available from FDM, the Danish motoring club which has offices in major towns. Denmark is now linked to Sweden by the 16km 0resund bridge. A toll is payable, as it is on the Great Belt Connection between Zealand and Funen. Daytime lights A line of white triangles on the road means give way Be prepared to give way to bicycles, and also to buses signaling to pull out. Use dipped headlamps day and night. Parking Parking is permitted on the right (in the direction of traffic) only, and you may park with two wheels on the pavement as long as pedestrians are not inconvenienced. Use a parking disc where limited waiting times are shown, setting the clock on the disc to your time of arrival. An on-the-spot fine can be levied on transgressors. In Copenhagen parking is permitted in marked areas only.
